Yacht charter questions in Greece

What to look for when choosing a yacht?

Find the nearest port. Then study the routes and yachts that are based there. There are 3 main types of yachts: sailboat, catamaran and motor yacht. A sailboat is the most “romantic” and profitable option. There is plenty of space for sunbathing on a catamaran, and a motor yacht is the fastest and suitable for long routes. Pay attention to the capacity of the vessel. How many people will you be, including children? It is important to remember that yacht owners do not take on board more people than is allowed under the license.

What are the terms of the lease?

Booking and cancellation conditions may vary from yacht to yacht, but for most, the following rules apply: - After receiving the booking request, we confirm the availability of the yacht for the date you have chosen. If the yacht is available, a prepayment (cash or bank transfer) is required for booking. The amount of the prepayment depends on the specific vessel. -To leave the yacht at sea, it is necessary to issue a special document with a list of data of all passengers. Therefore, you will need passport photos of all participants in the trip in advance, and you will also need to have passports with you on board.

Is fuel included in the rental price?

As a rule, sailboats have no additional costs for fuel and it is included in the price. For motor yachts, fuel may not be included in the price. Then it will be paid after the fact, at the end of the trip. The amount of fuel consumed depends on the type of engine, the duration of the route and the speed during the walk.
